Salmon & Walleye fishing in Lake Erie, ON.
Posted on September 12th, 2011[nggallery id=591]My good friend Joe Kubassek recently fished about 12-miles out on Lake Erie in it’s western-basin using Cannon Downriggers and sinking long-lines. They fished a variety of spoons in 65′ of water. They caught their fish both on downriggers and by flat-lining their sinking lines up to 650′ back from the boat. The biggest challenge this summer to catching trout, walleye and salmon off-shore in the Great Lakes has been the unpredictable weather. If you love to troll for all three species, take advantage of any calm-weather days we have left!
