Salmon & Trout fishing Lake Ontario from St. Catharine’s, ON.

[nggallery id=740]This weekend we have been enjoying the company of our good frineds the Pagano’s, Atkins, Palazzolo, Anna Pagano, Giovanni Opimitti, Roberto Fattor who we have been touring the Niagara Region with & of course fishing.

Yesterday we booked two charters with our good friends Aldo Nava & Steve, out of Port Dalhousie, ON.  We had excellent weather and got started at 7am.  We motored to about 90′ of water, set our downriggers, steel lines, Luhr Jensen Dipsey Divers out and started trolling towards 250′ of water.  In no time both boats started hooking fish and we had non-stop action right up until we headed back around 11 am.

We probably landed over 50 salmon and trout and kept a few for a barbacue at Amalia’s Cafe, Welland, ON the next day.  I tried to capture some of he fish and fun, but it was tough to do since we caught so many fish.  Our catch included Chinook salmon from 2 lb., right up to 16 lb., and rainbow & brown trout.

If you love to fish, now is the time to take advantage of the great hot-weather and to book a salmon/trout charter on Lake Ontario with Aldo Nava.  You can get a hold of him through his website at, www.niagarafishingadventures.com .
