Many Kawartha anglers have had a tough time catching a few keeper-size walleye in a few hour outing. New slot-limits, clearer water from zebra mussel invasion have all worked to make for more challenging fishing.
Peter Fritsch sent us these images of a couple of walleye they recently caught fishing the Otonabee River which flows into Rice Lake. Many anglers know that there is good night-time fishing below the dams on the Otonabee, but not too many fish the river itself which also produced good walleye.
The larger fish measured-out at, 25 inches and weighed 5lb.
