Our good friend Gabor Horvat who enjoys fishing the reservoirs in southern Ontario has not been out much, but on his last trip he landed a nice 32.5” Northern Pike that put up an excellent fight and was released tight after the picture was taken.
Gabor likes to cast spinnerbaits and medium-diving crankbaits along the receding shoreline breaks and scattered weedbeds.
Notice the lower water levels in the background. Many of the southern reservoirs are already letting water out to compensate for winter/spring water level increases. Now is a good time to get out and fish before the reservoirs get even lower.
