Raymarine Trees on bottom.

Posted on July 3rd, 2016

Many freshwater panfish & gamefish relate to irregular objects that protrude from a lakes bottom.  One of these  is definitely trees that have fallen in the water. In the case of largemouth & smallmouth bass, and sometimes walleye, if you locate a submerged tree, fish will be laying or feeding around it.

The Raymarine Dragonfly7-Pro with CHIRP DownVision clearly mark not just obstructions that are on bottom, but gives you the best definition so that you can tell exactly what you’re fishing. The screen-grab above shows in detail not just the tree, but also the branches. Perfect when you’re looking for fish with a “drop-shot” rig.
