I rely on my Raymarine electronics to confirm fish are in an area I plan on fishing. Makes sense, right? Whether I’m running the new Element, Axiom or older Dragonfly I can rely on Raymarine to show me every detail below the surface.
Recently our friend Rob Mitchell sent us the featured image of Largemouth Bass “stacked like cord-wood” off a small point. When you locate a hot-spot like this it’s just a matter of figuring our what they want. Start by casting a 1/4 or 3/8 oz. spinnerbait or shallow running crankbait to see if you can get the more aggressive bass to strike. Then follow-up with a slower moving presentation like a Texas-rigged plastic worm, finesse swim-bait, or flippin’jig/trailer. You should be able to catch a whole bunch of Bass from the same point.
