Both Ryan Edenborough & I were very impressed by the resolution/quality of the down-imaging feature on the Raymarine hybridtouch unit I have mounted on the consul of the G3 while we were filming at Red Pine Wilderness Lodge, Lady Evelyn Lake, ON.
We were looking for new weed-growth in shallower water and if you look on the right side of the screen, you can see the hydrographic chart of our location, and on the left side of the screen how clear the vegetation is showing up on the bottom. In-fact, you can see every individual strand of new weed-growth…and yes, we located the weeds and caught some of the largest walleye of our trip! Also, look at how easy it is to view the screen even in bright sunlight conditions…amazing!!
If you’re looking for a new fishfinder, I would definitely encourage you to check-out the Raymarine line of freshwater fishfinders!
