Rain and cooler temperatures drawing more Chinooks into tributaries.

We had almost 3-days of steady rain in the Niagara Penninsula and it seems to have made a significant and positive affect on more Chinooks entering the Lake Ontario tributaries.

Best time to maximize your chances of hooking fish is before the water levels drop and salmon get spooky in the shallower runs, or get “lock-jaw” in the deeper, slower pools.

Now is a great time to fish chunks of skeened-eggs under a float, especially in the lower sections of larger tributaries!
