Quinte Walleye update.
Posted on October 1st, 2016Trevor Strutt who operates Stealing Drag Sportfishing charters on Prince Edward County reports having excellent trophy walleye fishing in Aug. & through to the middle of September.
Walleye at the eastern-end of Lake Ontario grow fast and constantly cruise the outer Prince Edward County shorelines and in the fall start to migrate into the Lower Bay of Quinte eventually making their way up to their spawning grounds in the Upper Bay an the rivers that flow into it.
Looks like things have slowed down since Labor Day and the walleye are scattered again. What anglers are looking for is tight schools of walleye like the screen image above. When you mark this many fish you want to run your lures just above them. The Rapala Tail Dancer #11 is excellent for this open water trolling fishery!
