where should I fish for walleye in sandbanks provincial park
Posted on June 18th, 2016Hi Ethan, if you decide to fish West Lake, right now fishing the shoal on the north side of Sheba’s Island by bumping the bottom with jigs/plastic grubs/worms or a spinner and worm should produce walleye and mixed fish. You can also try casting crankbaits that only run to about 7′ right in the middle of West lake across from the sandbanks. The Rapala Dives To 7 Flat or the RS Jointed Shad Rap #7 is a good crankbait to cast there.
If you are fishing East Lake, the best walleye location is the north-end of the lake right in front of Cherry Valley off the weedline in 12′ of water. Same lures and presentations will work there.
