When trolling for Salmon/Steelhead on great lakes using in-line planner boards, can you use Dipsey or jet diver to get the bait to the desired depth with in-line planner boards? or will the Dipsy drag the inline planner behind the boat.
Posted on January 7th, 2008Hi Bob…Many anglers fish Lake Erie for walleye with in-line planer-boards with Luhr Jensen Jet Divers. You can use the same technique for trout & salmon. You don\’t rallylneed to run a Dipsey Diver off of a board since you can set them to swim down and out away from the boat on either side. The Jet Divers just dive down-ward so they work well off of the in-line boards…God bless you, Italo
