Hi Ethan, it depends on the time of year, water temps & conditions. For example early in the season when the water is cold and also in the fall & and it’s usually windy,
I really enjoy “twitching” for them either using the Rapala Husky Jerk, X-Rap and more recently the Shadow Rap.
Just a little later when the water starts to warm-up and we get calmer days and the bass are cruising in shallow water, like in early summer and early fall, I love to work the Rapala X-Rap Pop on the surface.
In the middle of summer I also like to cast crankbaits, especially the Rapala DT Flat 7 and the DT Thug, but my most reliable summer lure is a 4″ tube fished with the right size tube jighead…God bless you.
