What do you think, which lure has a more tight action, a rapala original or a shallow shad rap? From my experience, cold water calls for tight action lures. Usually :)
Posted on November 27th, 2016Hi Angler, for me the Rapala Shallow Shad Rap has a tighter action. Action is important for cold water conditions, but the silhouette a lure has is also.
The Original Rapala is long & slender (looking like a classic minnow, lake herring, etc.), the Shallow & regular Shad Rap is wide and flat (looking more like a shad or common shiner). I think besides having the right action, the profile of the crankbait is also very important…God bless you.
