Thanks Italo, Can you refer me to any specific places to stay to fish those areas ?? Perhaps anywhere youve been to in the past that can access these great spots ?? – June 2nd, 2008 Looking to take 2 days in June to go fishing within 4 hrs of Toronto and was wondering your suggestions ?? Have a 17ft side consol with down riggers and enjoy walleye, pike, trout and salmon Thanks, Michael Michael ——————————————————————————– Hi Michael…I would suggest you head east to the eastern-basin of Lake Ontario. There is trophy walleye fishing just casting & retrieving the Rapala Tail Dancer #9 in hot-chub color along any of the Bay weedlines (7-12\’ of water), you can fish for pike in Smith\’s and South Bay (Wapus, ON), or you can downrigger for lake trout and salmon anywhere on the outside of Prince Edward County (namely Brighton, ON). I don\’t know of anywhere else where you can have all these combination of fishing possibilities within a 20 min. drive from your accommodations…God bless you, Italo
Posted on March 27th, 2015Hi Michael…Picton, ON is your most central location. You could stay at, Merland Park Cottages ( http://www.pec.on.ca/merlandpark/ ), the Sportsman Motel ( http://www.pec.on.ca/sportsman/ ), or Tip of the Bay ( http://www.reach.net/~tip/ )….God bless you, Italo
