Thank you Italo for the tips on fishing SW Florida, I will most definitely try them! I also wanted to ask you about Pompano, do you think they will be in the area in early- mid February? If so how and where would you target them. Thanks again
Posted on January 20th, 2016You are welcome. Pompano are there now and will continue to cruise the Gulf coast and go in and out of the inter-coastal waterway until spring.
Best locations to catch them is off the beach using a live shrimp, or fishing the outlets that connect the inter-coastal to the Gulf. Best time is when the tide is moving. Fishing a live shrimp on a sliding-sinker rig on the bottom will work well.
