Hi Paul…I have a feeling you are going to have an excellent fishing adventure. The best braid you can use is the Sufix 832 in 20 lb. test (6 lb. test monofilament diameter). You can tie it directly to your lures, no need to use a fluorocarbon leader (only a wire leader if you are targeting pike). Make sure to take a few #5 & #7 Glass RS Shad Raps in perch, silver and gold colors. A good variety of jigs from 1/8 oz – 3/8 oz., in white, yellow, chartreuse and orange will work well with your favorite plastic grubs. I would also encourage you to take some of the TriggerX Finesse Minnows and Paddle Tail Minnows in the walleye-size to use with your jigheads, I have done really well with them. In closing, we just fished walleye at God’s Lake, Manitoba and did extremely well using the Rapala Scatter Crank Deep. You may want to take a couple with you as well. Hope you have a great trip….God bless you, Italo
