Looking to get some advice on carp fishing.I fish them with a float and a weight 6inches up from a salmon hook with corn on it.I have some successwithout getting to complicated is there any other techniques i could use

Hi Hahner….A sliding-sinker rig works well fished right on the bottom (hook, about 24-30″ leader, swivel, small bead, egg sinker). The advantage to using this rig is that you can use as heavy a weight as you want and get really good casting distance. When a carp takes the bait, the line goes through the sinker so the fish feels no resistance….God bless you, Italo
