Looking into buying a set of waders this year. My last pair was a hand me down from dad, and I used them for years thinking that I'd have to patch them every time I use them......apparently that's not the case. I mainly fish rivers and streams from March to December about twice a week and i'd like a pair of waders that can accommodate all seasons if possible and get away with not spending more than $200 (I'll be buying boots on top of this or using old hikers for the time being). I've went to a few fishing forums and Facebook groups and have got a lot of responses. The three brands that keep coming up are Simms, Hodgman, and Streamside. I was wondering what your thoughts would be. Any info and opinions would be greatly appreciated. I'm trying to spend my money wisely on waders that will that will last. Thanks in advance. Keep the rod bent.

Sounds like you would do well with light-weight waders that you can wear pant’s underneath. You may also want to consider “boot-waders”. They give your feet more room, and are easier than neoprene to get in and out off.

All the mentioned brands are fine but you may also want to look the the Rapala, https://rapala.ca/products/x-protect-bootfoot-waders . The suggested retail is $280., but you may find them for less…very good waders.
