Land of lakes region, fishing for pike in May/Early June. What do you recommend in terms of areas to target and baits. Thanks!
Posted on April 23rd, 2015Land of Lakes is a pretty big region. If you are fishing close to eastern Lake Ontario, & especially in the outer bays of Prince Edward County, pike will be shallow in areas like Smiths and South Bay and in good numbers. Water will still be cold and some pike will still be spawning. Best presentations will be casting wobbling crankbaits like the Rapala Tail Dancer #9, in 7-10′ of water, twitching the Rapala Husky Jerk #14 and also fishing jigs/swimbaits like the Storm WildEye Live Series along the bottom.
