Just one more question about color. Red and yellow is a popular color combination for trout and most species but what about black and yellow combination? There is such a big contrast between these two colors. I think of red as a low light color or stained water color, but nothing is written in stone when it comes to fishing I guess. Anyways, Merry Christmas to you and your family Italo!
Posted on December 24th, 2016Hi Anglers, thank you for your kind wishes. High contract color combinations like red & white (one of the top combinations for pike spoons), or black & yellow (Mepps Black Fury), etc. are excellent combinations to use in stained water and also to instigate “strikes” when fish are not necessarily feeding.
They work well for all species of freshwater fish. Wishing you and your family a blessed Christmas & excellent New Year!
