Two of the best baitcasting combos to start off with is the Axiom or Griffin from Rapala. The Axiom is equipped with 9-ball-bearings and the Griffin with 4-ball-bearings. Both are smooth and easy to set-up. Make sure to use at least 14 lb. test monofilament or 40 lb.Sufix 832 braid on either outfit for best casting performance.
