Italo, I was watching the program of Jan 26th, broadcast on CKWS in Kingston and saw you fishing the Bay of Quinte. Following the catching of a walleye – 18.5\” you mentioned that the rules for the Bay of Quinte were that \’You are allowed three under 19\” and one over 25\” \’. This appears to be different from what the MNR have just published for 2008-2009. \”Walleye & Sauger or any combination Jan. 1 to Mar.1 & the 1st Sat. in May to Dec. 31 S – 4; not more than 1 greater than 63 cm (24.8 in.) C – 2; not more than 1 greater than 63 cm (24.8 in.)\” We have been using that rule since the removal of the slot approx 3 years ago. Are you aware of a further change to the Bay of Quinte walleye limits for 2008-09? David Delcloo aka Superdad Kingston / Napanee ON
Posted on March 27th, 2015Hi David….Thank you for your observation & comments. You are correct, I am aware of the regulations. That TV program was shot in the past and does not reflect the current size limit for the Bay of Quinte. I would encourage all anglers to check with the new regulations before going out….God bless you, Italo
