In Alberta lakes it appears that we can use lures with 3 trebles as the rule states you can use a three hook lure and a hook can have three points. Not so clear in BC where they haven’t defined what a lure can have. Any ideas?

Hi Steven, as far as I know you can use a treble hook for fishing saltwater bottom fish, but for their freshwater fishing you are restricted to fish a single, barbless hook. When we fish in BC freshwater we normally have to cut off trebles on spinners and spoons and replace a single in the right size with a split ring…God bless you.
