I am new to angling. I will be fishing in twenty mile creek(Jordan harbour) in my canoe. I am trying to fish lure only and need to know an effective way of locating fish in an area that is muddy. Lots of lilly pads and I've tried there with no luck. Which type and color of lure or soft plastic should I use? I appreciate the help.

Best area to fish Twenty Mile Creek near Jordan Harbor is to fish around the railway bridge at the south end, and in and around the cattails south of the railway bridge. That is a good area for largemouth bass and some pike. A Vibrax #3 spinner will work well cast around the weeds for pike and fishing either a 7″ Texas-rigged plastic worm with an action tail & 3/8 oz. bullet weight, or a flippin’ jig with 4″ pork trailer for largemouth.
