I am a young fisher and I have a cottage on kushog lake in halaburton area. I was wondering what type of lure or bait I should use to catch some of the small mouth bass in my lake thanks

Hi Reed…I suggest you use a mix of soft-plastics fished on the bottom, and also cast a crankbait and twitch a twitch-bait. A 4″ plastic tube rigged with a tube jighead of enough weight to get you to the bottom will work well “dragged” along any rocky areas where the water drops from 7/8-15/20′. The most popular size of jigheads to use with the tube is 1/4 & 3/8 oz.. I also encourage you to cast and retrieve either a Rapala RS (Rattlin’ Suspending), Shad Rap #7 or the Rapala Dives Too Thug in the same areas and lastly, try “twitching” a Rapala Husky Jerk #12, or a Rapala X-Rap #10….God bless you, Italo
