hi where can i catch channel catfish in long point bay and inner bay what the best time and bait to use? also how can i catch walleye in long point bay and inner and also best time and bait/lures? thank you every much
Posted on July 17th, 2008Hi Phat…You can catch Channel Catfish there, but it\’s not reliable. The best time to go for them is after dark, fishing off the pier and using chunks of baitfish on the bottom. Walleye are further out from Long Point Bay in Lake Erie in 40-70\’ of water and most of them are caught trolling. They do move shallower at night, but they are tough to pattern consistently. Most anglers troll with fluttering spoons or crankbaits fished off downriggers, planer-boards and Dipsey Divers and Jet Divers…God bless you, Italo
