Hi there Italo! I’ve heard about nanticoke shoal but don’t know much about it. With that being said, I was thinking about giving it a shot in a week or so. Could you provide some or any insight on the said location?
Posted on August 29th, 2016Hi Ermanno, Nanticoke shoal is located approximately 3.7 nautical miles on a 198-degree heading south of the Nanticoke boat launch. It is 4′ deep at it’s shallowest and drops-off to 18′ on it’s edges.
It is irregular shape and can be excellent for smallmouth bass right on the shoal and also good for mixed fish like walleye, sheepshead, smallmouth in the deeper water surrounding it. Red buoy marker EA8 marks it’s location just of it’s south-east tip.
