Hi there Italo i am planning to start steelhead fishing on the cowichan river and also the stamp river this winter. I was wondering if you could tell me the outfit that you would recommend. Thanks!
Posted on September 27th, 2012Hi Josh…You have a few options. You can go with a west coast spinning or steelhead option, or even a center-pin drifting outfit, really your call. The rods should be in the 10 1/2 – 13′ range. No matter which outfit you choose, it should be rated for line 12-25 lb. test. As you know, some of the west coast steelhead can weigh over 25 lb….God bless you, Italo
