Hi My family and I are going to be fishing on lake simcoe this August. This will be the first time. We will be near innisfil . My question is about locations to fish for bass and crappie. Any info and tips would be greatly appreciated. Thx

Hi Jeff….You will be able to find smallmouth bass off any rocky point where there is boulders ranging in depth from 5-12′. Best presentation for the smallmouth will be to “drag” a 4″ brown tube along the bottom with either a 1/8 or 1/4 oz. tube jighead. Crappie fishing may be challenging since they will be suspended and scattered off of weedbeds, especially in the middle of Cook’s Bay. You will be better off fishing a 1/8 oz. jighead with a 2 1/2″ TriggerX Finesse Minnow or Blue Fox Vibrotail Minnow in the same areas where you will be bass fishing for jumbo perch….God bless you, Italo
