Hi Italo,I’m heading back to Red Lake, Ont again this summer for our annual fly in fishing trip. I’m thinking of trying for the first time a bait casting outfit. Can you recommend a complete beginners combination ? Thanks, I’ll be sure to send you lots of pictures.

Two of the best baitcasting combos to start off with is the Axiom or Griffin from Rapala. The Axiom is equipped with 9-ball-bearings and the Griffin with 4-ball-bearings. Both are smooth and easy to set-up. Make sure to use at least 14 lb. test monofilament or 40 lb. Sufix 832 braid on either outfit for best casting performance.
