Hi Vince…..Ultralight rod/reel 5-6′ long. Four or six pound test monofilament line. Slip-bobber rig for both live bait & jigs/plastic grub presentations. For bait fishing, use 1 or 2 small split-shot sinkers with a #6 or #8 bait hook. Good baits are: small live minnows, 2-3 maggots on a hook, 1 wax worm, or 1 mousie (grub with breathing apparatus that looks like a tail). Good artificials to use are 1/16 – 1/8 oz. jighead with a variety of plastic grubs i the 1 – 1 1/2″ size (tubes, curley tail, finesse minnows, imitation grubs, & 1-2″ plastic worms. Crappie normally suspend off the bottom to feed thus the use of the slip-bobber to fish the right depth. Locating a school of crappie is the key. They can move in and out of areas throughout the day/seasonally…..God bless you, Italo
