Hi Italo, We are going to West lake (Ontario) for some fishing. Bass, walleye, and pike are our target species. Being new to this lake, which areas of it do you recommend. Also, any suggestion for a boat rental on this lake? Thanks

You can rent a boat at, http://www.westlakewillows.com/boat_rentals.html .  For bass fishing, the shorelines and bays south of the Loyalist Parkway are good. You can flip’ the undercut cattail banks and fish spinnerbaits & Texas-rigged plastic worms all along those shorelines around lilly pads and weed-clumps. For pike, fish the same shoreline, but cast out farther from shore and also fish the deeper-water weedbeds/weedlines using twitch-baits like the Rapala Husky Jerk #14 and crankbaits like the Rapala Tail Dancer #9. For walleye fish north & south of Sheba’s Island trolling/casting crankbaits, trolling worm-harnesses and also jigging around the weeds.
