Hi Italo, this is something I came up with and is not scientific at all but i think it has some merit lol I was experimenting about most successful colors of lures for various fish species and came up with an unusual conclusion. The most successful color for any species is the one that resembles the specific species its self. Walleyes are yellow so best color for them is yellow. Brown trout are kind of yellowish and so yellow for them too. Smallmouth are kind of brown, so pumpkinseed color of lures for them. Rainbow trout are decorated with a pink tint so pink is best for them :) Do you think there is any truth to this lol Happy Easter Italo!

Hi Dako, interesting observation. I don’t know if this would apply for all fish colors/colors of lures to use for them, but for the ones you have mentioned, those colors work great for the individual species…God bless you.
