Hi Italo there is this pond that has been stocked with browns and rainbows a few times. This place used to be a gravel pit once but is now a nice clear water pond. Anyways what do you think are these fish spawning there I dont think that there is any creek running into it though.
Posted on February 2nd, 2015Hi Angler…Tough to answer your question since I don’t know if all the fish stocked were the same sex, or if they were even fertile. Sometimes fish raised in aquaculture are purposely modified so they can’t reproduce in the wild, they just grow until they are caught, or die naturally. If they are fertile and of opposite sexes, but there are no ideal spawning sites it’s unlikely that there is natural reproduction by either species….God bless you, Italo.
