Hi Italo Since the Steelhead run is coming to a end in the St. Marys river rapids Suckers have began to move in! I have never caught a sucker so I was wondering if you could tell me how to fish for them what bait to use for both fly fishing and spin fishing Thankyou and God bless you your wife and your puppy Muligan.

Hi Dylan…Best way to catch suckers is to use garden worms fished on a small #6 baitholder hook and a couple of split-shot sinkers up about 20″ up from the hook just to get the worm to lay on the bottom. Fish some of the deeper pools (where you can’t see the suckers), and you should catch some. God bless you and your family also, Italo
