Hi Italo my question is,”How thick should a fluorocarbon leader be compared to the braided main line?”

Hi Bob,the main line has no bearing on the lb test your fluorocarbon leader should be. It should be determined by the size of the fish you are targeting and how well developed their teeth are. When I target large walleye over 10 lb and big pike casting crankbaits I normally use a 30lb braided main line and between 30-60lb fluorocarbon leader depending on the size of the pike I might hook. To know what best knot to use to connect various diameter braid to heavier fluorocarbon I would encourage you to check out this video I did,  https://youtu.be/4trzxBw3uq4.
