hi italo my name is trevor davidson nephew of paul lord, i was wondering if you could point me in the right direction.i want to target some rainbow trout i am located 30 min south of hamilton ontario and was wondering if you could give me a couple options on where i can find some.thank you for your help

Hi Trevor, thanks for writing in. I am taking it that you are referring to “steelhead”. If so, you can start catching them starting in Sept. by fishing spoons off the piers at the mouth of Bronte Creek & Port Dalhousie. At Port Dalhousie rainbows will also move into the fast current below the dam by mid to end of Sept. where you can also catch them drift-fishing along the bottom with roe bags, single eggs, streamer and soft-plastic minnows. There they will be mixed in with Chinook salmon & brown trout.
