Hi Italo my name is josh and I live around Orangeville which is 40 minutes south of cooks bay, I am looking for a smaller inland lake to fish because island lake is super low this year. I’m looking for perch, pike and maybe a chance at some crappie. Can you suggest some lakes north within an hour or 2 where I could get into some fish? Thanks,Josh
Posted on December 30th, 2016Hi Josh, Little Lake near Orillia, ON just off Hwy.#400 is an excellent small lake with good year-round fishing.
It has easy access and I even shot a TV show ice fishing for pike here. It’s ideal to fish from a small boat, kayak, or canoe. One of the best lures to use there in the summer time is a Vibrax #3 or #4 spinner around the shorelines and weeds….God bless you.
