Hi Italo, My local tackle shop sells frozen uncured trout eggs in a container. I was wondering if its okay to buy these, thaw them, tie roe bags, then refreeze the roe bags? Thanks Jim
Posted on October 24th, 2007Hi Jim…That should be fine. I would suggest that once you thaw the eggs, you tie them all up in spawn sacks and than re-freeze them in 12-24 sacks/per pack. This way you won\’t have to thaw and re-freeze the eggs every time you go fishing (just thaw the number of spawn sacks you think you will need for the specific trip)…God bless you, italo
