Hi Italo, My father and I are planning on doing our annual fishing trip this year sometime at the end of August. We are looking for a place to go in northern Ontario for walleye, pike, and bass. Any suggestions on places to go? We don’t mind travelling, but something within 6 hours from Toronto would be great. Thank you in advance!

Hi Jake, Lady Evelynn Lake about 1 1/2 hr north of North Bay, ON is an excellent lake for walleye, smallmouth bass and pike. We have done several TV shows there. There are three lodging/cottages available on the lake. We have stayed at Red Pine Wilderness Lodge, http://www.redpinelodge.com/ , but I know of many anglers that have also enjoyed staying at Ellen Island Camp, http://www.ellenislandcamp.com/ ,  and Garden Island Lodge, http://www.garden-island.com/ . Lady Evelynn Lake is pretty easy to fish for walleye. You can troll, but we usually just fish an 1/8 oz. jighead/worm or minnow near the bottom. I would encourage you to check out our Italo Labignan YouTube channel and type in Red Pine Wilderness Lodge in our search engine and you will see first hand how good the fishing is there…God bless you,
