Hi Italo, Mike again, I would like to know what would cause brook trout in a beaver pond to apear to be sea run? They have an orange flesh, and they have silver sides just like a sea run? The only thing is that the salt water is about 4 milles away and is separated by a hiway and a rural road! One of the feeder creeks that feed the pond is part of the Chockpish river, which feeds into the Northumberland strait, but in order for the trout to migrate that far up is almost imposible! The pond does have some fresh water snailes, along with all the regulqar criters that live in a pond! What would cause the trout to look like sea they are sea run? Mike M. Thank you for your time! Gob Bless

Hi Mike….It may be that they are indeed sea-run Brook trout. I have caught sea-run Brook trout both in Ontario and Quebec where the Brook trout have travelled 50+ miles up rivers that flow into Hudson & James Bay, and than into lakes, and then up small brooks on their way to spawn….God bless you and your family also, Italo
