Hi Ray…Thank you for your kind words. As you probably know, we are experiencing a late spring which means the fishing has been slow. One of the best locations to fish now is the lower Grand River below the Dunnville, ON dam at Fishmasters Marina for trophy channel catfish. They sell fresh sucker bait right at the marina and you can fish right from shore on their property using a sliding-sinker rig on the bottom, a #1-3/0 bait hook, 1/2-3/4 with a 1″ square piece of fresh sucker right on the bottom. You can catch fish during the day, but night time is also very good. The crappie and bluegill fishing should just be starting on Puslinch Lake and Guelph Lake. You can fish right off of Lake Road on Little Lake (right next to Puslinch Lake), and in Guelp Lake Provincial Park (the east-end of the lake is usually the best for crappie). Best rigs to use at each location for panfish is a sensitive slip-bobber rig with a 1/8 oz. jighead and 1″ plastic grub (tube, curly-tail, etc.)….God bless you, Italo
