Hi italo. Love the show and the website. My question is do you think float fishing at Port Dalhousie is a viable technique? I find the bottom bouncing there pretty challenging. If so what depth generally would you set your float. Thanks
Posted on November 9th, 2017HI George, thank you for kind words. Yes, you can target steelhead and browns there float-fishing but you will be limited to fishing off the rocks on the St. Catherine’s side just from the fence (below the dam), to the corner of the wall. The water drops off quickly off the rocks and you only cast 5-10′ out and fish the 12-20′ break. You will need a long lead to be able to drift your bait just off the bottom. I usually rig a slip-float.
