Hi Italo Im planning a trip to Lake Simcoe this weekend. This will be the first time I have ever been there. Im hoping to catch some Walleye Smallmouth bass Panfish. Im not familiar with the lake and dont know where the fish are located. I will be fishing from shore and from a boat. Would it be ok if you can give me a few spots to try out on the lake I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance and God Bless

Hi Adam…Tough to catch walleye on Lake Simcoe this time of the year. Best to target jumbo perch and smallmouth bass. They will both be located off the shorelines and especially around rocky points where the water goes from 3/-4′ to 10′ deep. Good presentation for the perch is jigging a 1/8 oz. jighead with a 2-2 1/2″ TriggerX Finesse Minnow, or a Storm 3″ Vibrotail plastic minnow. For the smallmouth you can fish the same areas and drag a 4″ tube with a 1/4 oz. jighead along the bottom. Tough for me to give you specific spots, but if you download our free UFindFish app. to an iPone, Android or Windows8 smartphone you will see all the spots I have marked and a description of how to fish them. The app shows your location in real time and the location of the spots, & it’s free….God bless you, Italo
