Hi Italo I would like to try fishing for walleye from shore in Windsor Ontario. Could you give me some pointers on how to fish for them. Thank you in advance.

Hi Ty…You really need to fish from a boat to work the most productive current/structure breaks for walleye that are in 15-27′ of water. You can try fishing from shore, but your chance of catching walleye are low. You will probably catch mostly panfish. Best location to fish for walleye from shore is right in Windsor, across from Pesce Island. You can fish 3/8 oz. jigs/3″ plastic grubs along the bottom, or fish a “pickerel-rig” with two live minnows, stationary on the bottom….God bless you, Italo
