Hi Italo I watch your show all the time and love your episodes on the Bay of Quinte. I fish the Bay quite often using your methods. This time of year Im fishing the south shore near glenora using the hot chub #9. The weedlines Im fishing range from 1012 feet of water should i be fishing deeper ones and I try to cast parralel along the weedline. Is this the method you use Any tips would be great and I look forward to your next show on the BOQ.
Posted on March 27th, 2015Hi Derek…Thank you for your kind words. I’m glad you are having fun fishing the lower Bay with crankbaits. I normally fish casting right up to the weeds (and in the pockets), making shorter casts, and also making long casts parallel to the weeds and even out 90-degrees to deep-water. When I start catching fish on one or the other pattern, than I stick to it. On most days they are either cruising tight to the weeds, or just off the weeds. To fish close I use the Rapala TD9 and the DT7F. To fish deep I use the TD11…God bless you, Italo
