Hi Italo I was wondering where the best spot within 2 hours of toronto for open water fishing from shore is right now, maybe the top 3? Any species is fine aslong as we have a good chance at catching?Thanks
Posted on December 11th, 2016Hi Alex, not the nicest weather to fish but, the three top places to fish open-water from shore is Port Dalhouise, St. Catharines, ON, Queenston, ON boat launch and the Niagara Whirlpool.
They are catching brown trout & steelhead at Port Dalhousie, Walleye & steelhead at Queenston and Niagara Whirlpool. If you do decide to head down there it would be good for you to stop at Pete’s Bait & Tackle in St. Catharine’s, ON since they would have the most up-to-date info…God bless you.
