Hi Italo, I was wondering good river access points around highway 407 for steelhead fishing? Overall is the stretch around highway 407 is good? What part of the river would be it getting too high for steelhead fishing?Thanks
Posted on April 23rd, 2015North & South of Hwy.407 will be good, but it’s tough walking since few people take the time to get down there. If the water is higher, the fish will be dispersed in most of the runs, but if it get’s lower for opening, they will be holding just in the deeper runs and pools. That means more walking from pool to pool, but it should be worth it. Better to cover more water and find fish that anglers have not bothered, than to fish heavy pressure areas where the few fish that are there are pounded by anglers.
