Hi Mike…Thanks for email. You can catch walleye in the Welland River both on the north and south side of Welland, ON. There is an “Aquaduct” right in Welland where the Welland River goes underneath the Welland Recreational Canal (one of the old Welland Canals), so you cannot access the river right through. The better stretch to catch pike and walleye is in the Welland River on the north-side of Welland where there are more weeds along the shorelines and in a couple of places growing right in the middle of the river. You can access the Welland River south of Welland at the boat launch that is near the Welland Airport on River Road, and you can access the Welland River north of Welland on River Road also, just south of Almond St….God bless you, Italo
