Hi Italo i think you misread my previous Algonquin park question, i was askng about pog lake. Does it have smallmouth and what lures would you recomend from shore and what species are catchable from shore there and what lures would you recommend. Also do you recomend any spots on the lake. Thank you for taking your time to anwser my questions.
Posted on August 24th, 2015My mistake. According to the MNRF Pog Lake has lake trout, burbot, rock bass, pumpkinseed, perch. For the panfish best to use just a piece of worm on a #6 baitholder hook, a couple of split-shot sinkers and a float. Not sure what the shoreline will look like but knowing rock bass, any steep-dropping shorelines with boulders should hold them. For perch and pumpkinseed try and find shallower, weedy areas.
